I had some strange behavior with my 01 QX4 yesterday and today. Yesterday afternoon I drove my truck and the Left Hand Green Flasher Light was on. I got out and saw that the drivers side rear turn signal flasher light is staying on as well as the turn signal light down in my fog light. All are staying on solid and there is no blinking whatsoever.

I drove this AM and it wasn't doing it anymore, I did nothing to fix it however an hour ago I went out and its staying back on?

Any ideas? Is this simply a symtom of needing a new bulb somwhere?

It would be a symtom of needing a new bulb if one of the signals was burnt out. But if you are seeing all of the left hand signals in the solid on state, then I would check the relay as fueler stated.

Ok fellas even more symptoms.

-If my headlights lights are on, I get the above behavior out of my turn signal lights. In addition the overhead clock blinks as well as the radio lights. -If I turn my headlights off, everything seems to work fine?

I've done nothing new other than disconnect the power lead to my tow bar which was causing a short and blowing my tail light fuses about 3 weeks ago.

Your tail lamp issue is tied with the illumination issue. The illumination system operation is dictated by the tail lamp relay.

Ok, I'll look in the manual posted on this site to find that relay.

This got really weird in addition to the above, when the lights were on and I used the left turn signal the license plate lights blinked too!

Fixed, thanks for your help. I cut all wires from my tow bar and the lights came back on just fine. I have a short somewhere in my tow bar and it will need to be rewired completely.

Saved a dealer trip...
