Hi All.

My 2005 Nissan Fuga 350GT imported from Japan (06 M35?) has a connection in the centre console that I'm not sure about.

Ive been told that it can be used to connect iPods etc. Which is actually what I'm hoping to do. Are there cable convertors available?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

I would be super surprised if that connector was for an ipod. lol the Japanese would have outdone themselves in terms of making a simple USB connector as complicated as possible.

Yes, it's for IPOD and you can get the connection cable at your dealership or on eBay. It's IPOD connecter for infiniti m35 or m45 08+ here in the states! About $36

Do the rest of you US folks also have the 12v outlet in the center console? Mine does not have that but maybe it's because I have the DVD player?

I've had 3 M's all with the DVD package in the center console. All have had the 12v outlet "behind" the center console not inside it!!

Hi guys,

Been lurking here a long time, but my 2005 Nissan Fuga finally arrived in New Zealand from Japan.

It's the 350GT with upgraded Bose audio.

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get an adaptor for this input found in the center console, under the armrest. Image

From what I can tell, this is the AUX input.

Welcome to NICO! After a brief search, I found there's already an open thread on this, so I'm merging yours with it. ;)
Anyway that's the iPod connection plug. The cable is available from Amazon and eBay.

After opening this topic, and not finding any cable solution, Ive had to resort to the RCA to headphone option. The options on Ebay and Amazon are not the right connection type. I went into Newmarket Nissan in Auckland and they also confirmed the input is not for iPod/iphone. My 05 fuga had a cable connector in the console which to me looked like a Motorola connection. I'm still hoping that the connection can be used for iPod, fingers crossed. Let me know if you find the right cable for the job.... I also just replaced all the door speakers with infinitys. Makes a huge difference. The bose speakers are just light paper junk.

Enjoy the ride

I resorted to the same thing with the RCA cable. I'm no audiophile, the speakers seem ok to me for now.

Tiida's have the exact same input apparently http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/nissan ... input.html

Any luck with NZ maps? I've read the disc based navigations are virtually impossible to convert... but I'm not too fussed on GPS.

No luck my side with the GPS either, iPhone does the trick for me. Thought of contacting http://www.alertautoelectrical.co.nz (Auckland) to see if they can convert the system to English. Or at least to get some options/advice from them.

This is not a ipod connector, this is japanese mobile phone charger/calling connector, it only works with the older version of Docomo phones(one of the japanese mobile service provider like vodafone). there is connector like the one in below post.

I have this connection in my 350GT Sport (Bose) and the wire for Docomo, too. Looking for a way to utilize the port for at least charging, and I found an adapter to Micro USB here:

This is the adapter wire found insiin my center console of the JDM Fuga 350GT (2004, like a 2005 M35 Infiniti) with Bose package.

It connects a Japanese market Docomo phone to the car for charging and other unknown features.
