I am experiencing a very hard clutch pedal and slipping. This happens only after it has been pumped a few times(you can feel the pedal get harder after every press) and goes away after you let it sit for a short time whether driving or sitting. While the pedal is stiff there is no free play at all and the clutch engages/disengages with almost no travel. The problem started a week or so after I did a proper height and pedal adjustment and bleed/swapped fluids over to Motul RBF600. The fluid looked original and horrible when I bleed and swapped it over. The clutch felt perfect for a few days then this issue started, I got around it 2 days ago by readjusting the pedal but now I have the problem again.

Any suggestions or other tests I should run?
Thanks!

I went through almost 3 pints of fluid when I was bleeding, and rotated between the upper and lower bleed points. So I doubt there's air, but Ill try it again if other people think there's air in the system as well.

thats the only reasonable thought for the clutch slipping if the clutch was good before the fluid change..did you have a second person with you during the bleeding? did you pump up the clutch and hold it down then have someone open the bleeders?

Yeah the clutch slips when the pedal is hard but is perfect when the pedal feel is normal. Yep I did exactly that and I had a 3rd person constantly topping off the reservoir.

but no problems before fluid change? double check ur slave cylender. for binding..if you have alot of time (not a dd) you could always leave the res. cap off to allow trapped air out..these systems can be a big pita to get air out

depends on what you want, generally DXD/Shouthbend has the best bang for your buck unless you want a carbonics 5 plate or something. Also ive never used the SZ clutch but I'd imagine its a great set (made by RPS)
