Ok, so I just went to the gas station to grab some smokes. I pull into the parking spot, pu the J30 in park, the the engine revs up like I'm pushing on the accelerator (which I wasn't). I watched it for a moment, at it fluctuated between 1500 and 2200 rpm. For a moment I thought maybe the car just wasnt ready to park yet, but then I decided to stop trying to psychoanylize the mind of a large piece of Japanese metal on wheels, and turned the car off. Went in, got the smokes, came out, started 'er up, no problem. Drove home, pulled into the driveway, put it in park, no problem. Now, even though I'm a firm supporter of the "Car, heal thyself" train of thought when something comes up that I'm clueless about, and then miraculously stops ;) , I figured maybe I could ask the question here and someone might know the answer... Any clue what's going on? Put gas in it 3 days ago, have driven alot in the last 3 days, havent done anything else to it

Maybe it's an intermittant ECU coolant temp. sensor or connection causing the car to "think" the coolant is cold?

Happened to me once years ago, dealer reset the base idle for free. Has never re-occured since. To this day, I'm not sure what caused it.

Yeah my G20 did something similar and it turned out the base idle was way too high.
