Strange behaviour with gas tank needle

Well it first began when I cornered fast, the gas needle would plumet down to almost zero in some cases... it freaked me out... then recently it happens even when I brake or accelerate... what gives?

I heard something about fuel starvation and having to get fuel cells when cornering pretty fast on track/or in spirited driving situations but... enlighten me.

It's getting quite annoying...

91 S13 hatch...

Your float may be dislodged. Take the cover off and take a look.

That article is for an S14. However, they're pretty much the same. Just follow the first few steps to be able to look at the float.
