Strange Afternoon in maryland

Just shoveled my 88 year old neighbors driveway for him after seeing him slip and fall on the iced concrete{ last week he fell on the ice and broke his hand} Guess he wanted more?

Then walked back to my driveway and couldnt stand all the salt on the ole green Q....out comes the hose and bucket of warm water{and the neighbors peering out their windows looking at the crazy guy washing his car in 39 degree weather with snow on the ground}

Why is it neighbors think it is somehow warm enough to play/shovel/walk their dogs/etc in these temperatures........but toooooo cold to wash a car?

Anywho, boy is that Cypress Pearl paint GLOWING { yes, I hand waxed it in the garage last friday, I admit!}

Heheh, hey, to each his own. It reminds me of the time I watched a guy in South Carolina toss a bucket of hot water on his iced windshield instead of scraping it. That don' work in my part of the country.

I watched a lady wash her car with a window cleaner squeegee at a gas station. I think she thought wow my windows are clean, might as well do the rest of the car. I kid you not I wanted to grab the squeegee out her hand and beat her with it.

A friends step-father used to wash his car in the middle of the night/early morning in his underwear. Mind you Sacramento, CA used to get as cold as 12-17 degrees at this time. @25 degrees we used to hang out outside.
