A straight piece of exhaust pipe should not cost 50 dollars, more like 30 dollars, plus the cost of the universal hangers (5 bucks each). You can bend it yourself using a bender or a nice V-shaped maple tree like I did with mine , or if you have the money, you can have a muffler shop weld a nice straight pipe up for you. The maple tree worked for me because the pipe only had to be slightly bent, but a complex bend of more than a few degrees will need something else or else it will kink. Electric cutouts are about 150 dollars or even 250, but the ones that uncap with 3 wing nuts are only about 35 dollars, but then you wouldn't have the ability to switch it in the fly, which would kind of suck. I heard real bad things about the cable operated ones, so maybe you should stay away from those, some people can't believe they still sell them because they seize up from rust in a couple months, rendering them junk. Heres another option I copied out of another thread, But a better alternative that was just as cheap, didn't leak, and could be uncapped quickly (assuming you had a heavy rag to keep from burning your hands) were simple black iron pipe caps on the end of a short piece of threaded iron pipe welded to the exhaust pipe so they were easily accessible from under the front fender. Still dirt cheap and available at every hardware store.
