well, sorta lol unbolted everything after the cats (just 2 bolts). couldn't really rev it because of my quiet neighborhood and the car was hella loud. we recorded some other vids that my friend said he'll put up too. those once show me really getting on it

Doesn't sound too bad, but I don't think it counts as being straight piped. More along the lines of an open exhaust. I wonder if it was actually straight piped like that one 2.5 on here if it would sound any more practical. Nonetheless, thanks for the videos.

you'll need an air gun if you try to though lol my friend said he'd have the other videos up tonight. when i gave it gas in this vid, it was like a little tap. like 1,500 RPM....... the other vids i go to redline lol

ya it's not really straight piped (my friend called it open down pipe or something)...... "straight piped" title gets more views lol

Have you decided on what your going to do with your exhaust? Last I remember is that you got new cat-back piping but kept the stock muffler.

ya i'm going to get some universal magnaflow mufflers. i love magnaflow and think they sound great on everything lol i was supposed to already have them but some stuff came up and ill get them by the end of this month if everything goes good.

OH YA! read my next post im about to post about my day at the track lol oh and i didn't really notice any lose of power in lower RPMs. if i did lose some power it was soooo small i didnt even really notice BUT i felt the higher RPMs power

i havent read on this a lot, i did this to my previous car and the fuel consumption went up.... not THAT much, but enough for me to notice the difference.

anybody has noticed this going any other way?

the car was waaaaaay too loud!!! like get every cops attention loud. so i pretty much just unbolted it and went up the street to some country area and then came back and put it back on...... and when i went to the track last night i pretty much just took it off at my friend's house right before we left and drove it down some country roads to the track. too loud to do a long term test. i didn't notice anything super dramatic but i don't know

You know what your vid reminded me of? My friend who owns a Titan.

He also took the pipes off after the cat. It was mucho loud, and it sounded EXACTLY like yours, with a deep burble on the low end and somewhat raspy top end.

But his is a 5.4 (?) liter V8.

It's crazy that a 3.5 L V6 sounds the same.
