I have searched and searched both this forum and others, all I find is a thousand different opinions on what brand to use, personal preferences....

The book states "API GL-5". What I need to know is this;

What weight? 75-90 or 80-90?

LS "limited slip" or NS "no slip"?

I will be using Mobile 1 or another brand I can find locally. I just swapped transmissions and used Amsoil 75-90 synthetic, but I only have 1 quart left and my dealer won't be getting more for a few weeks.

So please no discussion on your favorite brands, I just need to know what TYPE and WEIGHT to get.

Thanks in advance.

It is a personal preference sort of thing. Essentially there is no right or wrong answer (to a certain extent).

I use Redline 75W-90

Gotcha, thanks. But needing LS for our differentials, right?

:yesnod

GL and LS = Same thing

The reason why is because the oil has limited slip properties.

Gotcha thanks. Reason I was asking is because a few months back I saw some Mobile One Gear Oil that was specifically labelled "LS" and some that was not, although they were both GL-5.

Sorry this stuff confuses me, and I am extra wary after having just replaced a transmission.
