Hey guys,

I will be storing the Max in my (Unheated) garage for the winter sometime this month - or next.

I am wondering what I should do for some winter-prep???

1) I am at about 4,000 Km (2500 Miles) from my last oil change, but I am wondering if I should do it now or in the spring? I'm thinking that some fresh oil in the spring will be better than some that's been sitting in the engine all winter.

2) Should I leave much gas in the tank, or should I leave it low? Will a low tank cause any corrosion & such in the lines, or is it ok? If I do fill up, will the "stale" gas that's been sitting all winter cause problems in the spring?

3) Should I disconnect the battery for the winter so that it isn't draining slowly, or is that a bad idea? If I do leave it connected, will I have corroded terminals in the spring from the inactivity, and the alarm & such draining the battery. If I disconnect it will I have any problems?

4) If I buy some rust-check, what should I spray before storing the car? I live in a moist salty climate, so most cars rust pretty good in the winters?

5) Should I leave the tires at ~ 32lbs or should they be under or over-inflated for storage?

6) Anything else that you guys can think of, because I've never stored a car for a winter before. The more suggestions the better, I'm just trying to think of some things to help save the longevity of the Max......

I would keep thge oil that is in it until spring. Leave gas low, 1/4 tank or so. Disconnect battery.

Personally, I would start it up at least once a month. This will keep your engine internals lubed well.
