Rim is the metal part, tire is the rubber part, wheel is both put together. anymore questions? You don't see people going around saying I got a flat wheel do you or I bent a wheel.

Rim is the outer metal part of the wheel. That combined with the disc in the center makes a wheel. :poke:

The tire doesn't make it a wheel, silly pants. The whole misunderstanding arose from people referring to mounting tires on the "rim", which as you now know is the part of the wheel that the tire makes direct contact with.

No, no, no, I believe it started when that dern cave guy rolled that stone into a tar pit. Wheel chocks came shortly thereafter ... or is it "tire" chock?

Thanks! ... Really? ... At first it was a bit tight, but the boys are happy now. It's the chaffing, you know.
