Ok, when my tail/stop lights stopped. I found the stoplamp sensor in the trunk, by the trunk latch (a purple box), was toast. Ordered bulbs and sensor from everything infiniti and they should be here soon. the problem is that they couldn't get me the connector end that plugs into the sensor. i have attached a pic so you could see what happened to the connector. so what to do now? any advice......please help

oh snap!!!!!

That thing is roasted! I think i could probably cut one from my car... that would be what youd have to do. Get one from a parts car.

Either that, or go to an electronics store, buy a connector set, and splice it in yourself. Keep tabs of which pins go to which. You'll probably have to open up the sensor box.

Improper non oem bulbs! Hitachi or Sylvania LL version if you must.

Bet both side bulb sockets are toast also!

I wonder if that blue splicer has anything to do with the trouble?

The burning is at the location of highest resistance, so I'm inclined to think not. Still, it may be close enough to have contributed to the heat at the pin--thermal runaway. The hotter metal gets, the higher its resistance.
