"Stoplamp Inoperative" pest 94 Q45

Got the error display and can't make it go away. Car won't pass safety inspection with it on. I've replaced the bulbs in the main tail sockets (one bulb each side, 2 filament) and one of the two in the third-light display that was out. So, that is four bulbs that should be lit for braking, right?

As Manix suggested, I replaced with Sylvania 1157s, cleaned sockets, sprayed with contact cleaner. Does the brake switch at the peddle affect this? Is there a ground wire that may be loose?

Any suggestions, please.

I had some sylviania bulbs in my old Q and this happened... WHen I replaced them with OEM bulbs from Joe (which are cheaper than autozone) the message went away as soon as i hit the brake pedal.
