I used it 3 times, seems easy enough. But its on a rb20, maybe the 25/26 is different?

The wiring for damn near everything is already done for you, its cleaner, more "untouched" and just plain easy.

I cant tell you how many people email or IM me asking how to get the speedo, reverse lights, starter, whatever working, I ask if they used the KA lower and since they didnt, its a pain in the ***....

Using the lower KA allows all the sensors/components to facilitate the stock wiring to get to their destination....without having to monkey with it.

S13 RB25DET-move the Knock sensor wiring from the RB lower to the KA lower and tape in place....swap the oil sending plug yellow/whites to each other----DONE!FREAKING DONEReverse lights workSpeedo worksAlternator worksStarter worksDONE....

S14...same but extend the starter wiring and swap speedo plugs...once again DONE!

I can prep a lower KA harness for the RB in 20 mins....how long did it take you to do the RB harness....was it that easy?

NO MORE RB LOWER PEOPLE....fight me on this if you like, but I am tired of people complaining how hard the wiring is and "my speedo still doesnt work"....this is the best way to do it.

Clean & easy

lol Good point! if you put it that way its not as easy using the ka harness. I have never tried it that way....maybe next time.

What I do is just pull the ecu plug out the firewall hole, set it ontop of the motor, put the motor in the car, ecu plug back into the hole. change 8-12 wires and im done. Also my last 3 swaps where auto to manual conversions. so the harness is a little different.

The lower harness connects to the starter and alternator plus strings back to the trans.

If you cant figure it out from that description, get McKinney's address and a box.

Sounds good!

For future reference, its easier to do the lower harness work with the engine out of the car....

So by doing this with the lower harness what steps in the 8 step will be skipped.

E217 - Rear O2 Sensor-nothing

E216 - Vechicle Speed Sensor (speedo rite?)-plug into RB trans speed sensor

E212 Crankshaft position sensore-nothing

E213 - Backup Lamp Switch-plug into RB trans sensor

E208 - To F11 engine control harness-no idea what plug this is, pics would help

E202 - to E19 Engine room harness-pics would help-if it hooks to the engine bay harness, plug it in

Thanks,Jimmy

what does the light blue wire coming from the rb oil pressure sender go to? is this not needed since there is no wire to splice it to on the ka lower harness?

WE aggree with JON the KA lower harness is the best way to do it and much less work. If a plug has nothing going to it it s not used..
