My stop/ tail warning light on the dash comes on each time i press the brake pedal. The owners manual says it should be a blown taillight bulb. I checked all the lights and everything is fine no blown bulbs everything lights like its supposed to. Is there something else i should check. If not i'm just going to pull the bulb out.

all the lights are working? even the third brake lights (center ) there is like 4 or 6 bulbs in the light if one is out you will show the dash light if the running lights are good that doesnt mean the brake lights are good and if the ohms changed cause of a weak light that will also light-up the dash check and re-check.......

Everything is good. I have a spoiler and the brake light on it lights up. Nothing looks unusual. I'm wondering if there is a sensor for the brake pedal something.

The Z comes with 4 bulbs in the third brake light, and they are special bulbs available from the dealership. A common, easy way to fix a blown TBL bulb is just to throw a 194 light bulb in there, available at any parts store or walmart. The light on the dash will continue to light up because the 194 light bulb has a different resistance rating than the dealership bulb. I've used 194s in my tbl for a while now with no other problems than the annoying light.

The spoiler i have is aftermarket. I just wired it to the harness for the spoiler. I think that might be the problem.

its most likely the 3rd brake light, the person who said it comes on when the pads are low is FALSE. The light only comes on when one of the bulbs are shot or your fluid is slow. But most likely its the strip of light thats on your trunk. I have the same problem.

Well when the pads are wearing down, the brake fluid level drops because the caliper pistons are pushed further out. So technically it can cause the warning light to come on.

That would cause another light to come on, not the "light" light lol. Probably the...ABS light? Not sure...OP needs to be more clear of what light came on anyways. Sounds like it's not the ABS light, but the "light" light.

NVM LOL! Yeah being low on fluid normally causes the brake warning lamp which is most often the same as the ebrake warning light.

He probably has the "light" light on like you said

I'm having a similar problem and I know this is an old thread but am hoping someone will see. My problem is the bulb light comes on when I push brake pedal. All bulbs are new. All stock numbers. I checked for corrosion and both bulb and socket good. The other issue is that the bulb light is constantly on when the lights are on. Lights off it only comes on when I step on brake. Lights on it is constant. This is even if just the running lights are on as well. My reverse lights aren't working now either. Are the systems connected?? Or will the marker lights cause this? All lights work but I didn't check for corrosion or whatnot in the marker lights. Someone help cause that little red light drives me nuts.
