I havent fixed it yet, but I just replaced the light bulb with something I had in my drawer. I will buy a new pairppastos wrote:So what fixed the problem?
Yea I tried everything my limited electrical knowledge will let me do. Load resistors don't seem to workmaxnix wrote:All you have to do is match the expected current draw.
Yea, I actually had the one Wes had. The thing wasn't even set up for 12v! The guy (whoever made it) had it built with a 10v battery powering it... I'm working on my BSIE and we don't really work with electronics so what do I knowmaxnix wrote:Don't feel bad, you are not the only one. A few LED rear tailight projects have gone by the wayside. Time to get an BSEE on it. I think it is pretty low on Dennis' list.
You're lucky he didn't bestow the supercharger project to you!lasoyafan wrote:

What does this mean?tmak26b wrote:I then bought the old package, fixed the problem.
Really? So something is still wrong then.ppastos wrote:I think he meant, he bought the old bulbs that were the ones to cause the problem in the first place.
That's not possible. Either it works becasue it presents the correct current draw or it doesn't. I wonder if the original bulb was not seated correctly?ppastos wrote:....so by replacing with a new but incorrect bulb fixed the problem for him.
