Stones stuck in M56x brakes

Has anyone experienced stones getting stuck in their M56x brakes???

I live in Canada and of course in winter there is a lot of sand/grit on the roads and at least a few times a week i get stones stuck in my brakes and it sounds awful until they dislodge, i am concerned there is a flaw in the design and that the stones are damaging my breaks/discs. Thanks
