Sad to say, I've been there. Mine was stolen from outside a club two years ago during a two week period when the alarm wasn't working. I kept saying "I'll troubleshoot it tomorrow" but for me, tomorrow never came. The cops recovered it abandoned about a month later but....It'd been totally trashed, my $3,500 custom stereo install was gone, they stole ONE of my 17" wheels, broke the roof, drilled out the trunk lock etcetera. It was a crushing blow that I have yet to get over. I loved that car more than any other I've owned in thirty plus years of driving. To add insult to injury, I just found out three months ago that it was stolen by someone I considered (at the time) a close friend because according to him, I was "trying" to sleep with his g.f. if you can believe that. Possibly the most evil thing anyone has ever done to me. He spent many hours helping me customize it and repair it. He knew exactly how much that car meant to me. The worst thing is that before I was "enlightened" I was letting him and his g.f. live here in my home for almost a year pretty much rent free. I hope never to see or hear from him again as long as I live. The only thing that astounds me more than the hurt people are willing to inflict on other's is my inability to judge a person's character well enough to avoid it. Good luck to you and I hope I didn't bring you down but I just had to vent because your post brought back some rather painful memories and feelings. All thieves can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned. -Tom
