Hey guys. My good friend's '01 Integra GSR was stolen on Sunday. They found it Monday morning. Well they found the shell anyway. The entire car was stripped. NOTHING left. I almost cryed myself. It was a beautiful car. I know the parts are hard to track but if anyone sees body panels being sold (black) or interior (black leather) for cheep please let me know. It sucked SO BAD! He said he was asleep on the couch and he heard his alarm go off at like 4am. He looked out the window and saw some guy loading his car up on a flat bed tow truck. He ran outside and tried to catch him but he couldn't. Anyways guys, if you hear or see anything let me know. It is a sad sad day, even for a Honda. <<<Tom>>>

Nah, there's ALOT more too it. It was a pro job. 1 to 2 minutes MAX. The truck had no license plate and it was unmarked. From the time he heard the alarm, looked out the window and ran down stairs, the guy was gone. That's friggen QUICK! Not to mention a half day later the car was COMPLETELY parted out! It was definately very well put together. The cops had the helicopter out lookin for the truck but they must have had a U-haul close by to load it up outa site cuz they never found em. What's really sad is we just put new suspension on and he just got a new muffler and shiz. :(

He lives in Los Colinas, Tx. So anywhere near there. Id say within 5-10 miles. I can't imagine they'd want to travel very far with it.

if there are swap meets rather large ones like (the turkey rod run daytona bch Thanksgiving) in tx I would guess that they would be there or look on ebay for the parts in tx hopefully this guy does something really stupid and you find him for it

So far the guy seems pretty smart but it could just be dumb luck. Getting a car stripped in a day is pretty dang crafty in itself tho.

Ouch that sucks...reminds me why I want a gun though, at the very least he could have attempted to detain them if he made it out in time to shout "stop or I'll shoot".

Judging from your description of the theft, these guys are professionals. They don't go selling parts on eBay, swap meets or in the classifieds. The parts are sitting in an auto body shop right now. Alot of chop shops stock common parts, which is sometimes risky because law enforcement agencies in some parts of the country patrol body shops and check the vins on the parts out back. But since these guys have a tow truck, they might even fill orders, and the parts could be going on another car right now.

These guys (and the parts) will most likely never be found, unless they are actually caught in the act.

The vast majority of car thieves are never caught, and those that are, are mostly joy riders or stupid.

Sorry about your friend. My friend's 99 GSR was recently stolen too. It contained a fully built LS/Vtec motor. Track proven 12 second motor. It was his second car stolen from him. Needless to say he is no longer buying Hondas.

The worst part was that the car looked completely stock, he bought it as a salvage and dropped his old motor in...never even got a chance to work on the suspension, or any other part of the car.

I hate to be pessimistic, but your friend will not find one single part off his car. My condolances.

why would you have a ls/vtec in a gs-r? Why not build up the stock B18c instead of going with a b18a/b with a b series vtec head?

maybe the salvage title had something to do with it. i guess he got a good deal and it was just a shell.
