Probably not as easy as older cars but like any car it can always get broken into.

yep

I was at Lake Manawa Nissan when they were trying to break the Record for most cars sold in 48 hours last year and almost every car i got into with the Ikey had it in the Armrest compartment and you could just take it and come back for it later since no one was watching you and all the cars were unlocked.

I thought about it but i pussyed out dont want to catch a case.

I would assume that it would be VERY hard because of the I-KEY. I have the factory alarm and the SAT-TRAK system on my car. The SAT-TRAK system is sweet. I can jump on the internet and get a satellite picture of my car from above. wherever it is. I am interested to learn more about this as well.

if u leave it running for a sec to do something.. lol thats my biggest fear. i mean yea dont leave it running. but im saying if u do.. its easier to just drive off, instead of just cranking it now.. maybe a 1 time drive.lol but it still could get stolen.. or friends playing jokes.. lol

If you park your car running and unlock, a thief can easily jump in and drive away. However, if you leave it running and lock the door before you go into the store or where ever, the thief will not be able to get in and take your ride.

If the smart key is in the car when you lock it, the car will chirp at you telling you beep beep beep beep beep. Which translates, hey dumba$$, the key is inside the car.

But if you leave it running and unlocked the car will politely tell the thief, on the display, that he has no key. That way he knows not to shut it off till his business is finished. Very considerate car.

I don't think the Nissans would be an easy theft. The push button system, iKey, and computer make it almost impossible - not like the old 'hot wire' days. Even my old Sunfire is very tough - without the key in the ON position, you can hot wire it but it won't stay running - the computer shuts it back off immediately (I know this because my ignition switch f'd up and it took us 18 hours to get it running!).

that was me i caught two guys in a walmart parking lot on laptops trying to break into my car. I was assuming they were looking up something. Maybe trying to figure out what ray lug nuts i had or how to start the car. I hit my alarm and they took off immediately

AND YES!! there is always a way to steal a car and thieves will findway. If they can take out the sensors of the car basically fry to cpu board they might be able to start it. Once its started the car can be driven without the key fob

Earlier this year there was thread about someone who let his girlfriend take the car and only after she left realized he still had the key in his pocket. The key does make the car beep but it can run without it once its started. There is no emergency shut off feature for our cars linked to the key
