Car: 1992 Nissan Maxima

Post

Greetings, I'm new to this forum but not to the Maxima. I have-had a 1992 Maxima that was stolen last night from in front of my house in Baltimore. I have worked on this car for the past 7 years. The car is the OEM brown, Stillen body kit, lowered w/ Eibach Springs, Tokico Shocks, Stillen brake upgrade, exhaust & intake. New blue interior w/ Alpine head unit, Kicker amps & sub, MB Quart speakers. The car was just in the body shop for a few repairs and new paint and new tires. Please keep an eye out for any one parting out or selling, this car is my baby and I want it back. Thanks, Fred

Update, Good News! The car was found by Balto. City police and I have it back. Nothing was taken. I want to thank everyone who responded to this thread for their interest and support. Just a heads up in Balto. the car was dropped in a lot and another 96 Maxima was taken, the police think someone has a master key for Nissans. Thanks, Fred

So sorry to hear about you loss . I know your pain. Put some pics up so people can see what your car looks like. Also, post this thread in the Nico General Chat because there's a lot of traffic there. The more people to see you post the better your chances are. Also keep your eyes open on craigslist, Kijiji, eBay and other sites for some of your unique parts. Some thieves aren't very clever and will try to resell some stuff online that way. Best of luck!

Thanks for your reply, I will repost on the chat line. I hope getting this out to the community might produce some results. This is one that I never imagined would happen but I guess when you keep an "older" car like new some thief might be lurking. -Fred

WOW man you are lucky! how long was it missing?

I cant believe nothing was missing, that is amazing. My 2002 got stolen a month ago and they took my entire stereo system and everything in the car that wasnt bolted down (and the amp that was bolted down!)...

any damage?

Very lucky, I thought the car was gone for good or at least stripped for parts. The car was found the next day in a lot when the police responded to another stolen car call. Who ever took it dropped it and took a 96 Maxima. The police think someone has a master key for Nissans.-Fred
