Hey guys, just doing my part to get Eagle to get these rods out on the market.

This is what I wrote-

Hello, My name is Kevin & represent a group of auto enthusiast from 240sx.org, A Nissan web group with a large following, 25,000 strong.

There are a large number of us who turbocharge the Nissan 240sx KA24DE engines, but seem to be consistently damageing/throwing the stock rods. There is a need for a strong & affordable aftermarket rod, & am hoping you can accomadate this demand.

I am just voicing a concern & if you could offer this model, you would have a market in us.

Thanks very much,

Kevin Bernard

Now I knew they are working on a KA24DE rod, but I was acting a bit ignorant, teehee.

They wrote-

Kevin, Thanks for your interest. We, in fact, are in development of rods for the KA24 engines. I do not know how far along in the process we are so I can't give you an expected release date. Watch our website for announcements on new products. Thanks,Alan DavisSport Compact Sales

OK, now with that, I would suggest that we keep the heat on, maybe shoot our new friend Alan emails here & there!

I know people continue to hound them, the more the merrier I think. Just as long as they product a quality and don't rush it to the point that it goes to crap.

Absolutely, I'm sure they keep pushing back the release date because of issues like that.

I'll be patient & wait a little longer.

Awesome! I think I've made up my mind to turbo my KA instead of the SR route. But not until I get some descent rods.

eagle rods are usually around $350-$550, it varies from platform to platform. they have a great build quality, and in a PROPERLY BUILT set -up have held upwards of 600whp. A lot of the QA issues people report are actually because they tried to half *** their setup in fuel or the like...

ive heard a lot of smack talk on other DSM forums, basiclly claiming that eagle rods are junk. Problem is one person would have a failure, and then every lurker and his cousin would chime in with their two cents...saying crap like, "you get what you pay for"...when 99 percent of those people NEVER even used the product. bottom line is that the ratio of people running eagles succesfully far out weighs those that had random failures...oh well ill get off my pulpit now..

Yes the KA24DE and KA24E rods are the same IIRC. The only real differences I believe are that the DOHC has piston oil squirters, 4 valve head and higher compression pistons.

It happened! We just acquired the first sets of KA24 rods from Eagle. We're putting together a motor for a customer in the next few weeks.

i'll get some pictures up soon so you guys can take a look. (dont expect too much, all Eagle H-beams look pretty much the same)

Make sure to check with our sponsor, AMS/Turbo240 - I believe CHris and Ivan have them as well.

I had a set months ago.
