I have a customer who just purchased a 350 and he is looking at a NISMO package.

FYI there's no such thing as a NISMO package from Nissan but if you have certain items you want then your dealer should be able to make a package just for you. A "Custom NISMO Package" if you will.

This gentleman wants the Cat-back, CAI and wheels. He mentioned he wanted part number 40300-CD225 AND 40300-CD226. These are the stock wheels for the Track Model. MSRP is around $1,436 per wheel. $5,700 for stock wheels!

NISMO has there own wheels that come in Bronze or Chrome with the NISMO logo on the spoke. These wheels MSRP at $575. We carry them for $517.50 or $2069.99 for a full set. I just wanted to know if anyone else is considering stock wheels. If so, I promised to drop them to $999.99 per wheel. I couldn't in good conscience sale stock wheels for $1400 bucks.Aftermarket Wheels vs. Stock Wheels

Forgive me for this, but do you have a picture of the track model wheels? Could these be the wheels from Rays?

Glad to see you're back in action here :D

It's the same wheel found on the Roadster. We had a white Roadster with a dark blue top and Frost interior. Sold second day on lot. We will have another one on Sept 5. One of our managers has already bought it but he promised I can shoot it before he takes it home.

Jayson, I saw some Rays wheels that were "dealer installed" and were supposed to be Nissan/350z-specific. Let me know if you're familiar with these.

Cool pictures...thanks

The NISMO wheels are gorgeous! I would love to have them on a Z of my own. I would love to have them on my 240, but I don't see that happening.

I also like the Volks. Just about all of them.

It has always amazed me how much stock wheels cost through a dealer.

I'm not but that doesn't mean it's not possible. We've used aftermarket shops in our area before to addon accessories and people are like..."Where can I get those?" The answer is, when you buy a car on our lot cause no one else has'em. Right now were working on a promotion to have the Fastest Z's in Texas. (we're close to having the only Z's in Texas). But we've got this one that I've added NISMO exhaust and CAI on. I'm about to put headers and wheels on it too.

^ I likey!!

Jayson, about those odd Rays wheels I mentioned, they are supposedly Nissan specific, according to the Nissan center cap. These wheels were available in Japan(that's where I found out about them, the wheels being called a 'factory option from Rays') for the Z33, but was wondering if our resident nissan guru had any info on U.S. availability...

Oh well...hey, another great pic of the black Z!!

1400 per wheel?

gees

The NISMO ones are 10 x better than the track ones IMO.

The Nissan website mentions "18-inch Rays® super-lightweight 6-spoke" standard on the track model. I'm not sure what Rays your talking about that are so speciall....

I've seen them on all the track model's I've worked on...they say "rays engineering" and "forged" around the lip. VERY nice wheels IMO...thats a hard choice, but I'd have to go with the NISMO ones!:D

Need is right. I found out that the NISMO are Ray's but I'm getting different info about the stock Track wheels. I just heard they were Ray's too but in like a minute and a half I heard they were not. Go figure.

Yes, I'm looking for them in 17"...Will they fit on a 90 Nissan 240SX? If so, how much for a set of 4 w/ tires balanced and ready to mount?

Any particular tires in mind? Also, I'm checking with my wheel guy on the offset. What we're thinking is if they fit, the worse possible thing is that they cause extra tire wear. Give me a little bit to study on it.

No, I don't have any particular tires in mind...I'm guessing it would have to be a low-pro tire...Since the rims will be 2" bigger than stock...But I'll give you a bit to study...Thanks for all your help Jayson...Oh yeah, on congrats on your baby girl...I seen pictures of her under another topic...She's cute...

Jay,

I was sitting here, filling orders and it struck me....the 1990 240SX is a 4 lug wheel....the Nismo's are 5 lugs. Sorry. And thanks...she's my light.

if they fit the spec v then they'll fit the s13...people have spec v rims on s13's...or is that not what you mean by "Spec"?

mmmm....I'd say they're conversions if they have Spec (V) rims. Unless I'm mistaken even the S13's with the HICAS had four lug hubs.

Are you wondering where the hubs come from? They come from S14 SEs

That's what we said...a conversion. I'd very much like to see what they look like on his 240. I'll be the first one to post a pic for him.

no biggie. If you heard me speak you'd be even more confused:, my voice is so monotonous I begin to hypnotize all those around me. {i am your master} My mom says I got my ability to gab from her {you will do as I say} but I think I got it from my dad. {wire all your money to me} He kind of has that Barry White thing going on {thank you and have a nice day.} I wish I had his voice.

Anyone know how difficult it would be to do a 5-Lug Conversion? How bout cost? I'm sure I could hit the junk yard and get the 5-Lug hubs off an S14...Would those work?

Run a couple searches, it's been talked about many times :) Basically, the S14 hubs work all the way around, but if you want lighter hubs you can go with 300zx hubs and somethingrathers in the back. It's also a relatively expensive conversion to do because you'll probably end up doing brakes with it. I THINK I had it figured out around 5-600 bucks.

I'd take the Nismo with the machined lip any day.

Do you have these for the G50 Q45?

I like the NISMO wheels better as well. Those 6 spoke wheels from Rays are nice too, but I would definitely go for the NISMO's. SCC has a project silvia, and they go into detail about 4 to 5 lugs and what all is involved and which parts will be needed.

I don't know who the wheel tech-spert is, but I'm also interested in getting some NISMO wheels. I'm not sure what offset I'll need though. I plan on going with an Endless Big brake setup and Parada Spec II for tires. Thanks in advance.
