I believe if you search there's a tire calculator some where in the tech forums.

thats not the question, I am actually waiting to see that combo on the tsock rims...I want to keep my stockies but have a much wider tire put on it.

So if anybody knows if the stock 18x8 and 18x8.5 will handle the wider tires please let us know

Go to Tire Rack's website and find the tire & size you want then go the specs page. They list everything about the tire and the widest wheel it will fit.

Okay, According to Tire Rack the answer is yes to both questions if you use the same Bridgestone tires.

If you use a different brand it might not work. Tire Rack says a 245/40 will fit rim widths 7.5" - 9.0"

275/40 will fit 8.5" - 10.5" rim widths.

According to Tire Rack the Kumho 245/40 will fit the front wheel but the 275/40 will not fit the rear wheel. It needs a 9" minimum rear wheel width.

I don't believe they will work. You will most likely need 8.5 in the front and 9 in the back.
