I googled info and believe that the 18" stock wheels are 18x8 in front and 18x9 in back? (True???)

What are the 17s?

It depends on what year you are talking about...

Stock wheel sizes are 17x7.5 & 17x8 or 18x8 & 18x8.5

The remodeled track wheels on the '06 & '07 Track & Grand Touring models are super staggered at 18x9 & 19x10.

OK, so 18" base on the rear is only 8x8.5...

Not bad but I guess I'm gonna want to keep an eye out for some GT or Track wheels instead. A 10 wide would be super ideal with drag radials.

Do the GT and Tracks come in the same physical look as the others?

Ideally I'd like a 17x7F/18x10R... obviously I'd settle for other setups. I kind of wonder what a 17x7 and 19x10 would look like anyway???

Geez...you need to do a lot of homework on wheels & offsets!

WHAT???OK, I don't really want to get into any kind of measuring contest here but seriously I'm not interested in stupid comments designed to make people feel inferior.

I was asking about 350z wheel sizes, not comparing my knowledge to yours.

I'm building a drag setup... nothing else.

No. I think it might be time to create an OEM Wheel sticky.

Standard 17" from Base & Enthusiast models from '03 - '05
(17x7.5 30mm offset 17x8 33 mm offset)

Touring Version One from Performance & Touring models from '03 - '05
(18x8 30mm offset F & R are same size)

Track Version One from the Track model from '03 - '05
(18x8 30mm offset 18x8.5 33mm offset)

Image

Touring Version Two initially available on the '05 35th Anniversary model and standard on the Base, Enthusiast & Touring models starting in '06
(18x8 30mm offset 18x8.5 33mm offset)

Track Version Two standard on the Track & Grand Touring models starting in '06
(18x9 30mm offset 19x10 30mm offset)

Keen-eyed readers will note that I left off the optional chrome wheels. I did that for a reason, they're something I'd rather forget and probably shouldn't have been offered in the first place - they're hideous and look very out of place on the Z (or any other car for that matter). But if you go looking for them online don't say I didn't warn you. And remember, what has been seen cannot be unseen.

WOW! Great post!

I've never actually seen the 5 spokes at all.

I think I'll keep an eye out of the local Z site and see if I can't find some for less than an aftermarket set.

Those are nice but I ended up finding some locally for $500 painted black. Only half tread but I'd be going with a much different tread anyhow.
