Has a stock VH45 or VH41 head ever been flow benched? I searched both this forum and google for the obvious terms which I thought would bring up such numbers, and came up empty. Only found VK45 numbers. Saw some mention of head flowbenches on the GPforums in a thread mettler was talking to 1UZ fan in, but didn't see any actual numbers. I imagine these numbers have got to be available somewhere, as the 41 is so popular down under.

thank you very much. bummer that searching doesn't bring that thread up using normal search terms.

Anyone know if the non-US VH41DE has had a flowbench done?

Stockcar guys may have done it, but to my knowledge the 94+ VH45DE ports are the same as JDM VH41 ports, so those flowbench figures should match.

Again the heads in isolation are meaningless without the runners and plenum attached..................as those components cause the most restriction after valve size.

Trying to use the oem torque boosting design is pretty useless unless you supercharge and then you waste a good deal of possibility due to long runners.

At high rpms the runner length goes out of tune and the reflected wave falls at a usesless time above 6500 rpm............increased intake duration can bring some of it back but not enough.

If one things about it the MAF voltage is the best TRUE air flow indicator at specific rpms.

You can use a digital oscilloscope and see each gulp of air for each cylinder........ the ecu averages the pulses to the display x.xx voltage so you read right at MAF terminals not ecu averaged volts as shown on Consult.
