I am curious why you say that.S14MARKSR wrote:the Neo engine im getting i know its abetter turbo than all the other RB's with the exception of the 26
well after speaking with a few people on UK slyine forums they concluded that turbo on the NEO engine is a better turbo when compared to the previous RB25's...they didnt elaborate on it though....from what i have learned it is a dual ball bearing turbo although it does have ceramic wheels which i just learned last night, but the pitch of the wheels is a bit more aggressive to go with the two stages of boost that comes on that engine stock...it starts at like 5psi and then bumps to 7 after 4k from wht i have been told..bottom line is i after 12 psi its a toss up as to how long to wheel can sustain high boost like that...is you can call 12psi high..lol....im used to 30psi..lmaothemadscientist wrote: Like what; max hp potential, a/r ratio, goes better with beef or fish?yeah pretty much..what ic an get out of it before i slap on my 60-1..i am just curious what they are capable of.

yeah unfortunately this is one of those turbos that do have the ceramic wheel on the back and a nylon wheel in the compressor housing..although i have found a few shops in the UK that can swap out the wheels for steel or inconel and make the stock turbo a very very nice turbo ...easily crank it up to 20psi..efficient up to18psi from what they say in the UK...even at 12 psi and with normal upgrades like FMIC and exaust i can safley be at 240kw to the wheels...themadscientist wrote:Yeah some of the RB25 turbos had plastic compressor wheels In the end it is still a OEM turbo so lean on it too hard. 12psi sounds about right, I never push any of the RB turbos past that.
Hey i'm looking for some shops that can replace the stock ceramic wheels in R32 turbos with stock sized steel wheels, can you post up the shops you found that can do it?S14MARKSR wrote:yeah unfortunately this is one of those turbos that do have the ceramic wheel on the back and a nylon wheel in the compressor housing..although i have found a few shops in the UK that can swap out the wheels for steel or inconel and make the stock turbo a very very nice turbo ...easily crank it up to 20psi..efficient up to18psi from what they say in the UK...even at 12 psi and with normal upgrades like FMIC and exaust i can safley be at 240kw to the wheels...
