The 16" are Continentals ContiProContact and the 17" are Bridgestone Turanza EL400.

And they suck so change them now

the reason im asking is im thinking of changing me wheels and tires but many of the 18 inch wheels that fit.. ppl say theyre really loud. so i went to look at reviews of the tires i have.. if ppl say the stock tires are loud then i wont mind changing because i dont see a problem with the noise and people are just complaining too much.. but if ppl say the stock tires are quiet.. then i dont wanna switch to loud. anyone follow anything i just said?

Shift,

It entirely depends on the type of weather you are driving in, and your driving habits.

Take a look at tirerack.com and read some of the reviews. A lot of the tires have a lot of feedback and the site themselves tests the crap out of most of them and gives their professional reviews comparing them to other tires.

ya i did that.. alot of people complained about noise on the higher perfomance tires.. how 'noisey' can they actually be? im trying to figure out if yes in fact they do make alot of noise or if people complain too much.. thats why i went to see the reviews for the tires alreayd on my car.. if people think theyre 'noisey' then people complain too much.. see what i mean? ya its a bit weird.. but i dont want to spend 700+ dollars on tires to find out theyre very inconvenient

No 18" UHP tire will be more quiet than your stockers, period. They're UHP's so you can't expect the best of all worlds. For better performance, you sacrifice ride quality and sound. Just going with wider tires will raise the sound levels in-cabin because there is more surface contact with your tires and the road.

I feel one of the best bang-for-your-buck tires is the FALKEN FK452. They ride pretty quietly considering they are UHP's. They grip very well and handle their own in the rain. Whatever you do, don't get Federal SuperSteels because that's what I'm running right now and they are louder than loud!!

Now if you really want the best of everything, check out the new Eagle F1 All-Seasons. I've read in a few mag reviews that these are THE tires to get for all your needs. They're great on dry, and they are absolutely wonderful on wet. And they supposedly ride very quietly; however, they do cost an arm and a leg.

Glad I decided to go with the FALKEN FK452's.
