Ok I have tried searching and researching but nothing so please help me out. What do you guys think about throwing a stock turbo off an SR20 on my KA24E with about 240,xxx kilometres on it(144,xxx miles?). Engine is bone stock but has been babied and has good compression. I know anything will work with the right amount of money. I am getting the stock turbo for dirt cheap off my brothers SR. Thanks in advance.

hmmm, dont expect to get much of a boost out of it...yeah, it'll beat NA...but maybe consider a older (Z31) 300zx turbo. You'll also run into problems with the turbo's flange mating with any off the shelf turbo manifold for the KA which means it'll cost you more to get it on there. Then you have to consider intercooler, piping, and at least a rudimentary form of fuel augmentation...even a little T25 can overrun the stock fuel maps easily. Then you'll need a downpipe/exhaust. It adds up if you are looking to make a really budget turbo system just know that it wont be JUST the turbo that you need.

It will suck.

The exhaust housing is so tiny that there will be a giant back-up in the manifold and burnt gas still stuck in the cylinders...that, and horrible flow...bleck.

It's just way to small for a 2.4 liter with respectable static compression...

Z31 T3 with a .63 exhaust A/R is the smallest I'd EVER consider...even the .48 A/R T3s will choke it.
