The attached pic is my engine bay the day after my swap was done. The stock SR is pretty slow don't expect much. I belive I read a Aussie site that had the stock 200sx at 15.1

yeah, i was pretty disappointed with my SR swap.. but knowing i have all this potential, huge aftermarket selection, and far less miles make it OK

So what about all the common stuff that people usually do like downpipe, test pipe exhaust, filter/intake, and clutch with a stock SMIC?

About mid-14's?

Alright, thanks. Just figured I'd ask since that would be my plan(what I said above)...but it doesn't look like I'll ever get a 240sx so oh well.

Does this not also depend on altitude? I'm at 2500feet above sea level. Here is some example for you to go by.

Redtop, FMIC, 2.5"dp, 3" Apexi N1, 13psi, walbro 255. Ran a 13.7 at 102mph.

Redtop, SMIC, stock dp, stock exhaust piping, muffler, 13psi, walbro 255, ACT street/strip. Ran 14.4 at 98 or something very close.

Remember this is at 2500feet. ;)

With all of my mods now I am sure that I would run 13s but I'm not a drag racer. I need corners. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea the SR is a great engine and with mods is pretty damn fast. I run with V8s (vette not included) WS6, SS, Cobra ('03 excluded) I will beat them depending on their mods . They can be made to be fast and have awsome potential not to menting the sound that comes from her

It must matter on motors too, mine is a simple setup pretty much stock, 3" downpipe, FMIC, pulleys, 17psi, I bet C05 vettes, 03' Cobra mustangs all day long, and mine is way out of tune, it is fluding like it is cool need to get her on the dyno, but I did race a 300Zx TT(450whp) and was right at his back wheel the whole way up to 135 mph, and he runs a 12.5 in the 1/4 so I am unsure of my 1/4 mile but I guess high 12's low 13's...

I wouldn't be betting too many 03 cobras since they run mid 12s bone stock. You would have to be running low 12s to outrun one. If you are running the stock turbo then you will make no more than about 250 at the wheel.

Not trying to discredit you but keep it real.

:bsflag Sorry but according to your mods all you would be doing is killing your turbo and making about 220-235hp. Do you not realize that you are talking to other SR owners. I have raced a c5 vette that a friend has and I got murdered and '03 cobra's competetion is the vette now.

I need to see dyno numbers and 1/4 mi slips to even begin to give you props:thumbd

well my turbo is a little bigger than stock I believe I think it came off a pulsar GTIR or S15, it has an A/R of .80 rather than most A/R of .60, well if you guys think I am BS I live in SC and if you want to run we can go for it, honest I am not bs'n anyone here, just stating the facts of how my truck has ran the past few months with my SR motor in it...

comon now??? 15's?????

K my sr is COMPLETELY bone stock besides the Fuel pump and MINES ecu.

Went to the 1/8 and ran a 9.9 couldnt really catch any traction cause of tires being so bald and that Jax track sucked. Speed was 76 mph and dunno about the 60ft.

Got rid of the slip... i was disapointed

I find it best for me to shift at 6500-6700rpm that puts me in the sweet spot for the next gear. Keeps the turbo in full spool:D Once again I am not a drag racer but when running the streets that seems to be the best

ya thats why i was asking... it does feel alot better to shift at 6000-6500 ... pulls hard in the next gear.
