stock speaker replacement

does anyone know how hard it is to replace the stock speakers do you have to remove the complete door pannel if so what tools are needed to remove the door handel and pannel

any info would help

It's pretty easy on the S and very much worth the effort. You do have to remove the door panels.

They are all 6-1/2", but I'd recommend going withe a relatively shallow speaker. My Infinity standard mount only have 1/4" between them and the window when it's rolled down. The foam baffles I installed actually rub the window as it moves, but it's not a problem.

I don't find that the S's stock speakers are that bad. Well when you use an aftermarket radio. I put a Kenwood DPX-701 in my V and the stock speaker sound much better than when I had the stock radio. The HU has a lot audio adjustability and you can get the stock speakers to sound just as well or even better than aftermarket ones.
