Okay, first, i'm just curious, is it normal for a 240 to be able to break the wheels loose at 5000+ rpms in first? I know i need tires and struts majorly, but if i nail first i can generally keep hooked up until 5000 then it breaks loose and goes to the limiter. I dont know if my motor's entirely stock or not...Second, i stopped at o'rielys (sp, i know), today, to get brake shims, they had 3 kits for the 240, ranging in price from around 3 dollars to 6, i had them order the 6 dollar ones (what's 3 dollars, really?) I realized later that it may matter if i have abs or not (i dont), this is an s14 btw..Any idea?thanksast

I think it might matter, 'cause when I was buying pads for my car last week they had listings for abs and non-abs cars for everything.

On some cars it matters and some cars it doesn't. Usually the ABS pads are bigger. I think on the 240 it doesn't matter, I'll check at work tomorrow for you though. Or you could call them and ask. If the counterman didn't ask you if you had abs chances it doesn't matter (it would list under the item: w/ abs or w/o abs. The three price ranges are just their 3 different lines. Oh yeah, o'rielly's sucks, use napa :)
