so yeah... i'm trying to put the stock smic and i've noticed that the intercooler doesn't quite fit... do i have to cut a larger hole for the piping to come up through the fender well section of the car? or what's goin on here...

so then what did you end up using in place of the pvc? and what did you use to couple the pipes together.

a greddy FMIC

you can get some pvc that will work. but goto a muffler shop ask for some scrap 2-2.25" exhaust tubes, bet they let you have them free, or go with a 10$ case of beer , bet you can even have them custom stretch bend them for yah , im talking a local lil muffler shop ;)

rednecks will wonder what you are up to and prolly help out. they did here they made a bunch of bends then gave them to me free just cause they were interrested in my project.

couplers, get some 2.5" or so radiator hose from a auto shop, or truck suplier. works well, dont use the crap from homedepot or lows the plumbing couplers will melt and rupture under stock boost!

rember big rigs have alot of stuff you can scavange in turbo projects

When you remove the stock airbox and move the relay box out of the way, right under you will see a kind off odd oval shape pattern imprinted in the metal. This is the shape you cut out for the intercooler pipes to go thru.

Right under that metal plate with the imprint, theres the rest of the intake/resonator box. You remove that also. Them you can use a sawzall and cut the pattern out.
