Stock side mount intercooler fitmenT?

Im working on a S13 SR swap right now but I still havent gotten a sidemount nor a front mount intercooler. Ive been looking around for a stock sidemount but I havent been able to find one yet. Does anyone know if a S14 sidemount intercooler will bolt up to a S13 SR swap if I have the stock S13 piping?

I don't see why not. They look mighty similar and although I haven't had a look at the little bracket thing, if they don't fit right, you can always make your own bracket which would just require a bend or two and 4 holes drilled. Not too hard if it comes down to it.

yea it'll bolt right up. any sr20det smic will bolt up to any other sr20det smic piping.

you might as well get the s15 smic though, its bigger than the s14 one.

I have both an S14 SMIC and S13 SMIC. iirc, the piping is bent differently. But I think it'll work if you reverse one of the pipes...I'll post pics. I think it *might* work..

Ok here's a pic I took of the S14 SMIC. Maybe it wont work with the S13..looks like even if you reverse the pipe on the right, it won't work. As far as I know, S13 smic needs to have both pipes sticking up, like the pipe on the left

I talked to the guys at LSauto and they told me that the S14 SMIC will NOT fit an S13 without cutting part of the frame. They told me that they have used the S13 SMIC on S14 chassis with an S13 engine, but they have not used the S14 SMIC on an S13 chassis.

Yeah that pipe on the right would be the one that would go through the frame. The S14 and S13 SMIC itself is identical, but the pipes arent. Oh well
