So I have some Monroe Sensa-Track Reflex shock absorber and was wondering if I put some lowering springs that it may blow them out. So Is it safe to put some and not blow my shocks or not. Sorry for newbie question

BTW: I searched and found nothing.

if youre using lowering springs on stock struts, theyll blow a lot sooner than they would otherwise.

thats why its normally better to use aftermarket struts that are better built to withstand the shorter compression or whatever.

if youve got the monroe sensa-tracks, why're you gonna use the stock struts for the springs?

planning on putting the monroes in a display case or something?

lol yeah I was gonna answer your question but then I got confused.. I have blown stock shocks with lower springs. Handles bad. Boucny as hell. If you're actually planning on using this as a suspension set up, think again

No, sorry for the misunderstanding but what I mean is that I have the monroe sensa-track already install in the car.

think he is saying he has them, but he had lowering springs on his stock and the stock blew so he wants to know if theyll last longer with lowering springs?

Ok I have no clue whats going on. If you put lowering springs on the your stock struts or even the Monroes they will blow quicker than expected.

Ok here I go again. I have the monroe sensa-track install in the car with the stock springs and wanted to know that if I put lowering springs in the car will it blow the Monroe sensa-track or will they last me.

they'll blower sooner than if it wasnt lowered. if you just get the tein s techs those shocks will still last quite some time, just not as long as the label will say. just whatever you do dont cut your stock springs to drop it. my friend did that when we were like 17 and it was by far the dumbest thing we ever did lol. he ended up buying s techs and put em on his stock struts/shocks and they lasted as he drove it to the junk yard a year later. so they'll last atleast a year..... he ended up crashing the car, it was totalled but still ran. drove it to the junk yard and collected like $100

edit: his car was a 96 sentra gxe 4 door, dunno if that matters

I thought my struts were replaced. Come to find out I have band new Monroe springs but the struts from 1989 complete with Japan lettering.. So Needless to say 3 weeks after I put my springs on my car has more body roll in it now then it did before. On the Right side at least.

So My suggestion is Tokico, About to install them on my car whenever I install my trans.
