after I did my transmission oil change, the shift knob has been a lil loose, in daily driving it's not a problem but sometimes when I'm quick shifting (I know i'm not supposed to shift hard but just the fact that I'm shifting fast) twists the shift knob so I end up slipping off the shift knob and not getting it into gear.

the shape of the stock shift knob is pretty annoying, the end that sticks out makes it very easy to twist in fast shifting - I was wonderin if any of you guys had this problem, I want ot keep the stock shift knob, or a ROUND or acylindrical aftermarket shift knob that's black so it won't clash w/ the itnerior... so far the only ones I've found are darne expensive - looks like i need to go find someof that screw-tight super glue at home depot.

haha oops I didn't specify enough in the 1st post - if can twist it further to the right (tighten) but then it would be misaligned, like the part of the knob that sticks out would be all the way to the right, and that just feels weird to me.

LiU I know exactly what you mean. You try to tighten It as far as It can but It will not line up correctly. So, what I did Is I went out and bought some thread lock, you should be able to find It like at home depot. Anyways, you apply some of that on the threading on the shifter and screw It Into place where you want It, and let It dry over night and It should be fine. And If you want to take your knob off, just give It a little twist and the thread locking material will break loose.
