Hey guys, Ive been running the stock CA clutch fan and an s14 electric fan all the time. I know its more cooling than I need, anyone know if it would it be safe to remove the clutch fan and leave the electric on full time?

the stock s14 fan is the a/c fan so no i wouldnt rely on just the ac fan for my cooling

I know, alot of people with ka's remove the clutch fan and jump the relay so the electric fan runs all the time though, I did this for awhile as well and never had any cooling problems.

why ask a question if 2 posts later you say you did it for a long time safely? if you want to ruin all the work youve done with your ca by removing a functional fan and using a lousy a/c fan while saving the 100 dollars by not buying a decent e-fan, by all means, go for it.

I didn't mean it like that, just wanted opinions. I havn't done it yet because thats pretty much what I was thinking, just wondering what everyone thought.

lol im confused.

my final opinion: something as serious to cooling i would personally not leave it up to a fan designed specifically for cooling when a/c is in use. it may be safe, you could get a water temp gauge and find out, but for ease of mind factor alone i would not use this setup. i like clutch fan personally, <3 simplicitiy.

lol, I ment I was running it like that on the KA, I haven't ran it like that on the CA yet. I like clutch fans too, I would just like some more room up front. I might give it try when I get a engine temp gauge, all I have is oil pressure and boost for now though.
