stock s13 fuel pump vs stock s14 fuel pump

I have a s14 fuel pump that was just recently replaced. I am doing the swap very soon and I don't really want to replace the fuel pump because it was just replaced by the dealer.

I am wondering if there is a difference between the stock s13 fuel pump and the s14 fuel pump. I know that the stock s13 fuel pump may be insufficient for the upped boost sr20det, but what about the stock s14 fuel pump?

I know I will be fine with my stock pump since I will be running at stock boost setting with stock injectors with no computer upgrade.

I doubt there is much difference on how much fuel they supply. A Walbro is 100 on ebay, if your that cheap then dont do the swap. Sell the new S14 pump for half what you paid and call it a day.

I can get a Walbro cheaper than 100.

but I dont want to risk fuel economy because like you said, I am cheap.

I have 300ZX fuel pump, I get 27 mpg. Fuel pumps dont destroy gas mileage, a fuel pressure regulator(set high) and/or bad/large injectors will contribute to worse mileage. You may be running stock boost but its much better to run rich than run lean and blow up your engine.

Aftermarket fuel pumps do not harm fuel mileage! They just have the ability to pump more when NEEDED. Any extra gas they pump is flowed back through the fuel return line. :rolleyes

okay, so back to the original question, are the s13 and s14 pumps the same? Can I get a s13 walbro for the s14? Since most walbro listed on many sites are for s13.

Id say most likely, fuel pumps are semi universal items like injectors. In other words, you can use a fuel pump from alot of other cars out there in a 240SX.
