My sister was in a car wreck and until she gets her insurance money (car was totaled) she asked if she could drive my 240 coupe. I agreed since she would do the same for me. Anyways, the problem is I had a cat back on it and I just bought a new 240 and I put the cat back on it. The other exhaust was so rusted when I took it off, it just disintegrated. I still have the stock muffler, so does anyone know approx. how much it would cost to just have the stock piping from the cat to the muffler done at a muffler shop? Stock size, doesn't have to be anything fancy, this is just temporary. Thnx!

Why don't you call your local muffler shops in your area for estimates? Should be less than $200.

depends.. my shop did it for 40 bux, including supplies, but i know the guy. its not a big procedure, 2 chops , at the muffler and cat, and a pipe bender. if your are paying over 50 they are overcharging. its less than an hour job at best.

Well like I said, you got to call for estimates, the shop I go to is expensive, but does good work. A crappy place like Midas may do it for less than $100.

buy a sawzaw and some piping from any auto store and have an exhaust shop weld flanges on for you, whole thing should cost less than 60 bucks
