Is it ok to run the stock SR rods on a Aftermarket piston?

Also, does anyone know what the stock SR rods will max out hp wise?

Yes you can run stock rods with aftermarket pistons, thr wrist pins are the exact same size. there has been a couple stock bottom end cars running 600 hp. If your going to max them out, id get them shot peened, and maybe even cryo treated and they will be able to take a beating. (stock rods can take a bearing anyways)

Nice thanks, I was a little over 4oohp. And I snapped a spring and threw a rocker arm, and dropped a valve onto the piston.
But if I would get the rods kryo'ed and peened I might as well just get new rods.

Well I was holding off on upping the boost, I was only at 16lbs on a gt30. I can max out at 32. And since I'm rebuilding the head anyway with better parts, I was going to up the boost. Expecting around 550.
