I've personally used up to a 215 in the rear but I don't think that I'd do it again. It was buldged on the rim, looked like crap and didn't wear right no matter how I tried. Biggest I'd go on a stock rim is a 205 since it'll give a more square contact patch than a larger tire. Search around for a few resources, wider isn't always better for tires.

i believe he's refering to the 16x6.5 wheel, not the 15x6 you're talking about.

if you want the absolute widest wheel possible (but not necessarily the best performance wise) you can fit up to a 245 tire on the s14 se wheel depending on what brand tire you use.

yeah im prolly just gonna go with some Z32 rims for my track setup. 225 in the front and either 245 or 255 in the rear... not sure what tires yet.

Thanx Zach

I currently run 225 Yokohama ES100s on my s14 se wheels. They look cool, but the middle of the tride is wearing slightly quicker than the outside edges, and I mantain oem psi. The middle tread is about 3mm lower than the outside edges. It looks like evidence of tire buldging to me. I think the 225s are just too wide for a 6.5 width rim. 205s would have less side wall flex, have a more square contact, be slightly lighter and cheaper. That's what I am going with next time because I can't afford wider wheels.

Going with z32 wheels is a good cost effective way to get an efficiently wider width tire.
