stock rims

has anyone ever tried painting their aluminum stock rims. I have some cast aluminum rims that look pretty ****ty. want to take off the nut cover and leave it painted see how it looks just curious how i would do it and if anyone has ever done this before.

the attatchment shows my assonide rims

some dude made a pretty good thread about how he painted his stock alloys and what kind of prepping and paint he used. he had the se model rims though...i think he went with a gunmetal color.

u could paint it gun metal. i ve seen a lot of them done where im from. but i think that donuts looks a lot better if u dun have rims. especially if u gonna race cause u cannot get no lighter then donuts. but thats just my thoughts.

ok so now i know what color to paint them now some more questions.do i have to prime the rims, what can i use to get them extra clean, how many coats do i have to put on them, and any other things i should know about painting on aluminum.
