im thinking about upgrading to a t28 or something bigger but i still want to maintain the stock t25/t28 flange. will the redtop be able to handle this kind of power with the aftermarket head gasket and stock side mount intercooler? the front intercooler will come later but the turbo upgrade will be first. what do you guys think?

There are headgasket spacers that will drop the boost one full point. Thick head gaskets, or stacking head gaskets will cause a bigger headache down the road.

hazw8st: your post is pretty irrelevant to the subject of the thread. Next time try and bring a little more to the table before you post. (Well, I guess your right that stacking headgaskets is not a very good thing to do, but what do you mean by dropping the boost one full point?)

sr_powered: I ran my SR pretty much stock (stock intercooler, injectors, ECU) with a S15 T28 and didnt have any problems. Your going to want a boost controller though to keep the boost down at 7-10 psi though.

red top internails are very strong. A t28 works very well or even better with the red top head because of port angles..
