They were doing a test-run to see what the demand was. There was not much apparently. I don't know if they did it in house, or if they were going to farm it out.

It's an interesting design, that's for sure. It's a direct replacement of the stock manifold. Some good points are better runner angles and larger ports than the heads to minimize reversion, and smooth piping to increase flow. However it's not cast iron so it will lose some heat/velocity, I think I am going to get it coated.

Yeah. Even has reinforcements to prevent cracking.

Looks like this, but flatter because it's a sidemount and 6 runners.

ON MY DESIGN SHOULD I HAVE A PORT FOR A DELTA/TIAL WASTE GATE, AND JUST HAVE A GASKET AND BLOCKER PLATE ON IT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE IWG TURBOS?

i just got good news bad news....got the accounts that carry all the rb items BUT bad news is the manifold is pretty damn expensive. OBX offers for everything else just not the stinkin rb..grrrr. so music here we sit still in quest. BTW if anyone needs something please say where i know you from...been getting alot of requests where people assume i know them. Cant hook it up if i dont know you.....no wat i mean.

I still say build a mini-L pipe with 2 T3 flanges and wastegate port off of it. Makes the turbo a top-mount. Allows the use of the stock manifold. Cheap, too. A pic and/or description is in Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.

WELL I PLAN ON WITH MY MANIFOLD RELEASING WITH IT CONVERSION DUMP PIPES. I'M GOING TO TRY A TOP MOUNT AND A STOCK REPLACEMENT SIDE MOUNT STYLE.

What size runners, manifold material, welding, thickness, runner length, dyno tuned?

How are you gonna differentiate the different flange sizes in correspondance with your runner size and length?

What methods are you taking to ensure that cracking will not happen?

Where are you placing the wastegate flange?

WE ARE WORKING WITH AN EXHUAST SHOP ON THE DESIGN AND THE FIRST TRY SHOULD BE DONE IN LIKE 1-2WEEKS WE ARE GOING TO DYNO IT AND SEE IF WE CAN IMPROVE ON IT. WE ARE STARTING WITH 1 1/2" RUNNERS, BLACK STEEL FOR PROTOTYPE (STAINLESS FOR PRODUCT), ARGON BEAD WELD IS THE SHOPS SPECIALTY, THICKNESS IS GOING TO BE LIKE 1/8 - 3/8", LENGTH WE ARE GOING TO SHOOT FOR 8 INCH OR LESS AT EQUAL LENGTH, BUT IT MAY NOT BE EFFECIENT SO WE ARE GOING TO TEST. RESULTS SHOULD BE UP SOON, WE ARE GOING TO ESTABLISH OUR BASE LINE RUN THEN USE OUR MANIFOLD DESIGNS. ME AND MY PARTNER AGREED THAT OUR MANIFOLDS ARE GOING TO BE UNIVERSAL (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL WG READY) AND COME WITH A STOCK REPLACEMENT DUMP-PIPE. MORE INFO TO COME

WG FLANGE IS GOING TO BE ON A SEPERATE RUNNER BETWEEN THE TURBO AND THE ENGINE.

AS FOR CRACKING THATS WHERE TESTS COME IN BUT WE WILL USE FLANGE TO FLANGE SUPPORT BRACES.

WE WANT TO TRY TO KEEP ONE RUNNER LENGTH DESIGN THAT IS A HAPPY MEDIUM FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE FLANGES WE USE (SO FAR ITS T3, THAT DSM ONE, THE COMMON TURBONETICS FLANGES, AND T4) WE ARE ALSO GOING TO DESIGN ADAPTER PLATES FOR SOME OF THE OTHER FLANGES. WE WANT SHORTER RUNNERS SO WE KEEP THE HEAT IN AND VELOCITY LOSS TO A MINIMUM WE ALSO WANT TO AVOID SHARP BENDS. WE ARE GOING TO GO WITH A TOP MOUNT AND STOCK PLACEMENT SIDE MOUNT.
