I was cruising around today without noticing i had my tru boost set to 18 pounds till i got home about 2 hours later...the car was being pushed hard and driving amazing the turbo is a stock ceramic wheel turbo so how could i possibly hold up under that amount of stress? is there a way to cheeck if for whatever chance my turbo has been rebuilt/upgraded internals etc?

You can verify it is a "nissan turbo" and check for shaft play - neither of these will really tell you much.

The fact that you can boost to 18psi doesnt really mean much, as its not a finite line that once crossed will result in immediate compressor destruction.. It's moreso that after prolonged use your turbine will shatter into thousands of pieces and damage your motor internally..

Have fun

you realize that at 18psi the stock turbo is nothing more than a fancy hairdryer due to it being hella inefficient.besides you dont have the fuel or mapping for 18psi so why are you running that much?

do you have a chipped ecu?bigger injectors?18psi is too high for stock motor...sounds like your 'tuner' doesnt know what he was doing.

So you are saying you have a high dollar stand alone system, have no ability to tune it yourself; have taken it to someone who also has no ability to tune it, is that correct? If that's the case you should get yourself a stock computer and drive the car in stock form until such time as you are capable of tuning yourself or can take it to a competent tuner..

im only 14 dont expect me to know how to tune an ems now but will be willing to learn.. im not gonna mess with my own ems having a huge risk that it would just blow up so yea might of been a ****ty tune but atleast its a safe tune... and my orginal ECU wont run on my car.. i got a walbro 255 and the car jus runs way to rich to the point it ruins my plugs in a matter of hours

now what really baffles me here is not only are you too young to drive and driving illegally, but you're also buying upgrades for which you have no way to run them...

LOL I give you credit for being so enthusiastic and knowledgeable for your age. But 14 yr olds in fast cars that like to "live life on the edge" usually don't know that "edge" until it is too late and wrap themselves around a bridge abutment. Just be safe man.

matafied- in his sig link he has a pic posted of "his dad's rides" and one's a Ferrari Maranello??. I'm not up to speed on my Ferrari lineup, but too rich for my blood.

the reason ur car wont run right on the stock computer with the walbro has nothing to do with the ecu. You need a Nismo FPR to turn the fuel pressure down cuz its overpowering ur stock FPR.

on a second note. you want to live life on the edge at 14? Please let me know when u are out driving so i can stay away from u
