Im assembling my KAT right now, and have run into a little bog. my walbro fuel pump wont arrive until jan 6, and Im leaving for school that day. shipping was rescheduled or something like that, I ordered it a month ago!

my question is ... can I use the stock fuel pump with an FMU for a few days just to test drive the system, and then drop it in when it arrives, the day that I leave.

will the stock fuel pump be able to handle it, or will it explode or something. Im running an 8:1 FMU, with a z31 T3, I believe stock, wastegate setting, 4-7 psi, Ive heard everything in that range.

ThanksSteve

if the pump is in good condition, it should be able to handle some boost. 4-7 will probably be okay. But just be alert for detonation. If you hear any back off. You should be able to drive around with the car until the new pump arrives. Just don't boost too high.

dont forget to throw in a z32 fuel filter. Will help a tiny bit with the fuel flow.
