Hey Guys, Anyone know the specs on the ring lands of the KA24E and\or KA24DE stock pistons. Like the thickness from the crown to the first ring, the thickness between the two compression rings, and the thickness from the 2nd ring to the oil control ring?? I'm just comparing the stock piston to another engine.

Thanks Guy

It's not that precise, but the picture was taken pretty hastily. The measurements are obviously in milimeters.

This is an OEM S14 KA24DE piston.

Hope this helps:

Ight, just went out and measured with a micrometer...

As labeled:

#1(crown to first ring slot)=0.234"#2(first ring slot to second ring slot)=0.127"#3(second ring slot to oil control ring slot)=0.075"

First and second ring thickness are both 0.059" while the oil control ring is 0.107". I had to use then for measuring point for the micrometer I have.

Oh yea sorry. That is out of a S13 KA24DE engine. Couldn't tell you on the E/DE pistons being the same. I know that the DE piston has a 30cc dish as opposed to the E piston being a flat-top. Thats all I know.
