stock oil pump?

Hey guys, I was just wondering how good the stock oil pump is? Would adding an external oil cooler have any negative effect on the oil pressure? Could the stock pump handle a cooler? any help would be great, thanks...

For reliability purposes, I want my engine to last as long as possible.

if you want reliability with the oil pump leave it stock. Racetep in LA tried messing with the oil pump in thier KA turbos and it didnt go too well.
