well my question if using my stock muffler with 2 inch piping and no resonator be a over kill. I got harrased by the cops today in my gf's home town(2nd time) he sai it annoyed him as i passed by him slowly. He fliped the b'itch and fallowed me with a car behind me i was like whatever but the car in back of me turned and the cop sped but before i made a turn. I was so close to freedom btu he got me. I felt like i embarrassed my gf in her neighborhood but who cares i don;t live there. So i'm gonna put my stock muffler on so i don;t get pulled over. I all ready got 2 cops on my ***, any more i'm gone. He was cool he warned me of other cops who are Deck's i asked him a few q's was polite and on my way. Anyways enough story time. I pretty much am tired of my system i regret buying an egay muffler and going "custom" its pretty much gone and sounds farty and raspy. I t used to sound sooo good. I might just put my stock one on since i kept it in case something happen. It'll cost me about maybe 20 dollers to get it done. I will enjoy long cruise's again and hearing my engine. I hate the drone it's even put me to sleep while driving in the morning.

So has anyone tried this? I Know it will be kinda restrictive but too restrictive? just mandatory untill i find something better and not too flashy and pleases the cops and get stares by every ricer. If anyone has vids let me know!

Clearly it is not too restrictive if it comes with the car stock. What do you have done to the car? Of course if you have headers on the car your not going to see as much of an advantage with the stock exhaust as you will with something more free flowing. Turbo is annother story, but since this is the NA forum I won't get into that.

i know i ramble alot. Lets me make it short.... is it any different to the ebay muffler except for loudness. I don't care about loudness i'm tired of it. But i will get a new one maybe a tanabe nior or something. Cops are giving me too many warnings and i don't think my politness and kindness will get me bye anymore. I know its restrictive but more or equal to an ebay kind?

All i have is intake and 2.5 custom made exhaust. Going turbo so it''l be a 3" all the way later on with a 3" downpipe and cat still on if you wanna know and also i have an autotragic too.

bout to slap my pc twice.

any damn way, if you have a cat back with larger then stock pipe, and more free flowing exhaust, switching back to stock will loose a few ponies man. It wont be so loud though. Try a turbo muffler from summit or something they out flow stock but are not too loud IMHO.

silpena the stock muffler is not gonna restrict your exhaust flow, the choice of pipe size you wanna run will, 2' is smaller than stock. if you keep your 2.5 pipe's with a Magnaflow muffler (or your choice) will be ok. I haven't had any problems in 4-5 years that I've had the car with that exhaust.

run a twin loop muffler, I saw a 350z with twin loop mufflers and it sounded very nice, really quiet and a little more low end torque.

ok i might just buy a magnaflow then later on for now i'll put my stock muffler on and keep the 2.5 inch piping just to keep the cops off me and becuase 3 out of like 7 cops reconize my car and have seen it so i can't slipping. The cops in my town don't even care about me and my car...maybe becuase i don't race and plus i know one cops who has like some fetish for my dog and ask's me stuff about my dog(wierd i know) I also can't seem to fing those tanabe universal mufflers that are 93 db and under.

:Also to add in this thread i;m was wondering if anyone wants an alignment really cheap for their 240sx. Gonna do mine in my class and once i get used to the machine i'm gonna do local area ppls or hook ups for like 10 dollers. The more the better(i get a better grade ) Also can do tire, wheel balancing i thought i help out fellow nico friends. I'm gonna test mine before coil over set up and after with new tie rods and busings also with some rucas see they affect the aligment and the best settings.: let me know so when i can do it perfectly i can set up a date with my teacher to let me use it the machine is so fraking bad arse it makes alignment so easy not even the les schwabs or midas have the machine its all computerized.
