i have gotten my hands on two ka motors and have one manual transmission. i did this in the hopes that if i needed to i could strip parts off one motor for the other if need be... my question right now is what specifics do i need to know about mounting the manual transmission to the ka motor that was originally auto transmission.

also does anyone have a spare manual transmission they might be interested in selling. im looking fo rone in good condition.

all the info you need is available via search

but either way, you're going to need the MT flywheel/pressureplate/blahblah and a pilot bushing. other than that I'm pretty sure it just bolts right on. good luck man!

I think you have to swap the dust plates (the big flat piece of metal between transmission and block) and the cross member, I can't recall what else. I know it's on here somewhere, you'll find if ya search, gl in the meantime

Check out the 'vert forum sticky threads.. you won't believe how much incredible information we've accumulated in the past 5 years. zerothread/199318

Here's one from that sticky that walks you through the 5 speed swap.

Don't be afraid to dive in there and get your hands dirty. We'll walk you through any specific issues if you get stuck.

Good luck!
